The Roost Chop House - Waynesville, NC

We have dined at The Roost a few times. Service and food quality were excellent. I liked the craft cocktails, unique appetizers and the desserts. I am GF, so I appreciated how the server was helpful in consulting the chef to give me great options. My husband enjoyed a mouthwatering steak each visit but I had delicious salmon or chicken.

We had a wonderful lunch at The Roost! The chef came out and chatted with us for a while. He wanted to make sure we were enjoying our food and we were! A really unique menu. I had the chicken pot pie with a side of butternut squash and Brussels sprouts and finished with the Hummingbird cake. Every bite delectable!!

Their crab cakes were by far the best my husband and I have ever had. Marvelous flavor and a crispy crunchy outer crust. Yum. We each had a small salad (Greek and Cobb); the dinner rolls were delicious as were our salads and our dessert, too. Service was excellent and very friendly at the same time. We thoroughly enjoyed our first meal here and plan to be back often. Highly recommended!

I'm a local. My husband and I had lunch. Everything was great! Grilled meatloaf sandwich with deliciously seasoned succotash. Venison burger topped with a wonderful sauce and gouda cheese. Butternut squash and brussel sprouts was my side prepared flavorfully. We shared a huge slice of hummingbird cake.. will definitely recommend to all our friends. A great place to eat!
